Client: Mushkegowuk Tribal Council
Their Vision: The Council wanted to support their communities in developing long-term directions, strategies and capacity to promote their own economic development.
Our Insight: We helped develop preliminary community economic development plans for Fort Albany, Kashechewan and Attawapiskat, through a series of community workshops that identified community needs, priorities and strategies. For both Attawapiskat and Kashechewan, the planning provided a strategic plan for establishment of a community development corporation to manage the process of development.
The Result: We provided a community-based consensus on directions for development and established the organizational capacity to pursue the community's vision for development.
